The lack of body mobility can have a significant impact on well-being. Causing problems like tightness and pain, decreased work efficiency and slow recovery, it decreases time spent at work. Did you know that musculoskeletal problems are one of the most common reasons for sick leaves?
The tricky part is that people rarely understand the importance of mobility in their well-being and are thus not motivated to make a change. At least not until it is too late.
We wanted to experiment the effect of body mobility and work wellbeing and did a pilot with a state-owned company in Finland (more than 8000 employees).
Description of the pilot
The goal of the pilot was to measure and improve employees’ body mobility to improve work well-being through decreasing stiffness and enhancing recovery and performance.
In the beginning, each participant was analyzed with the TE3 Mobility Analysis to find the body’s potential restrictions and improvement areas. Then based on the results, each participant got their own tailored exercise program.
The training period was boosted with TE3 group training once a week that focused on 4 areas of body maintenance. The structure of the group training was based on the participant’s average results of TE3 Mobility Analysis.
The participants were re-measured after a 6-week training period to monitor the progress. In addition, the participants answered a feedback survey after the pilot period.
